Gridview not updating on postback

It seems that if these link tags are not well formed XML (ie properly closed) then you see this behaviour. So we started to eliminate all the extra stuff around the interface and it boiled down to our CSS documents and specifically the tags. Working with a Grid View in an Update Panel is pretty quick and simple for many reasons, but when you require a full postback instead of an asynchronous one you can run into some trouble.Microsoft is conducting an online survey to understand your opinion of the Msdn Web site.i know it is possible through ajax update panel but for some specific reason it can't use it.And i think that gridview is a server-side control and if i implement it by using table structure , jquery ajax and web service then it will loose all gridview properties of edit, update and paging etc. googling from 2-3 days but unable to find the solution, a little help will be appreciated. I am trying to use the Try this: Put a button on the form somewhere, set the onclick event to trigger an update of the gridview.

The datasource is linked to a series of checkboxes that filter the data in the gridview.event is raised when a row's Update button is clicked, but before the Grid View control updates the row. This enables you to provide an event-handling method that performs a custom routine, such as canceling the update operation, whenever this event occurs.Because we will be programmatically updating the Update Panel, we need to set two attributes - Update Mode and Children As Triggers. We do not want the Update Panel to Update all the time (hijack all Post Backs), so we set this to Conditional.
